Alle Hoffnung verloren: Hope Of The States haben sich mit sofortiger Wirkung als Band verabschiedet. Die Auftritte auf dem Carling Reading und dem Leeds Festival am vergangenen Wochenende werden somit als letzte Gigs in die Bandhistorie eingehen. Erst vor drei Wochen erschien mit "Left das vielgelobte zweite Album der Band (siehe < >> purerock.de-Review >). Das offizielle Statement der Band zum Split liest sich kurz und bündig und lautet wie folgt:
