Neu angekündigt für das Rock Am Ring / im Park-Festival: Die Toten Hosen, Metallica, Sportfreunde Stiller, Nightwish, Motörhead, Babyshambles, Bullet For My Valentine, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, The Hellacopters und als Headliner Rage Against The Machine.
Auf der < My Space >-Website von Morr Music kann man sich ab sofort einen Dntl-Remix zu einem People Press Play-Song herunterladen.Im Mai kommen Explosions In The Sky auf Tour, nachdem sie die vergangenes Jahr ja absagen musste. Die Daten findet ihr in den Kommentaren.
Vor einiger Zeit war ja Msah Up der letzte heiße Scheiß, die 2manydjs verkauften ihre Platten und MTV griff das Ganze ebenfalls auf. Mittlerweile ist das Subgenre ja etwas in Versenkung geraten. Geben tut es das Ganze aber natürlich noch, wie jetzt auch ein Mash-Up-Sampler namens Death Star Disco Mixtape beweist, bei der sich AC/DC neben Beyonce, Mr Oizo neben den Wut Tang Clan und viele andere ebenfalls aufstellen lassen. 4 weitere Bands gibt heute das Open Flair Festival bekannt: Itchy Poopzkid, Die Schröders, Boy Hits Car und Fettes Brot werden auftreten.
Der Mann mit der unvergleichlichlichen Stimme und Cocorosie-Freundeskreis ist zurück: Antony & The Johnsons veröffentlicht im nächsten Jahr Album Nummer drei; der Titel wird sich Crying Light lesen.
Das neue Björk-Video zum Song Declare Independence kann man sich jetzt < hier > ansehen. Sehr empfehlenswert, stammt es doch mal wieder von Michel Gondry.Nächstes Jahr erscheint das neue Album vom ehemaligen Pavement-Sänger Stephen Malkmus. Mit seiner neuen Band „The Jicks“ eingespielt, unter dem Namen Real Emotional Trash. Die Tracklist findet ihr in den Kommentaren. Er will nächstes Jahr vielleicht auch in Europa touren.

Was ist denn so neu an den Jicks? Ist doch schond das dritte Album, das Malkmus mit denen als Backingband aufnimmt.

neu im vergleich zu pavement natürlich, auf dass ich mich damit semantisch klar beziehe. häte uch "jetztige" sagen können. aber so weit ich weiß ist es erst das zweite reguläre album?

Von Malkmus jetzt, meinst du? Nein, ist schon sein viertes mit den Jicks. Um mal Wikipedia zu zitieren:
"Even though Pig Lib is the only album that titularly recognizes the Jicks by listing the artist name as "Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks," the self-titled album Stephen Malkmus is, in fact, a Jicks recording. Initially, Malkmus wanted to simply call his post-Pavement band the Jicks with no mention of his name, but Matador records resisted the idea and released the new album from SM as Stephen Malkmus with no mention of the Jicks. Face the Truth is technically Stephen Malkmus's only true solo affair, though the Jicks do provide instrumentation on nearly every song."

hm.. ich fand die umsetzung nicht so gewohnt smooth/leichtfüßig wie von gondry gewohnt. aber der song zieht das schon runter, stimmt schon.
