Nächsten Freitag erscheint das neue Alesana-Album Where Myth Fades To Legend bei Defiance Records. Bei < MySpace > gibt es Höreindrücke. Anfang Juni werden drei Konzerte gespielt hierzulande, für die man sich wohl im Vorhinein Karten kaufen sollte weil Ausverkauft-Gefahr: 01.06.08 Berlin - Knaack* / 02.06.08 Stuttgart - Landespavillon* / 03.06.08 Köln - Werkstatt*. Vorband machen die Parachutes (Redfield Records).Die Belgier von Das Pop haben vor kurzem von ihren Landsmännern Souldwax (aka 2 Many DJs) ihr neues Album produziert bekommen, dass in den Newslettern als „Debüt“ bezeichnet wird, obwohl es ja schon das dritte ist. Vielleicht wollen sich aber auch nur die Engländer das so zurecht biegen, jedenfalls bekommt man < hier > beim neuen Das Pop-Label in UK, RCA Records, ein Gratis-MP3 wenn man sich in einen Newsletter einträgt.
Death by Stereo nehmen derzeit ihr neues, mittlerweile fünftes, Studioalbum mit Produzent Jason Freese (spielte schon auf Tour und im Studio bei Green Day, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bruder von Drummer Josh Freese) auf.Jake W hat Aiden als Gitarrist verlassen.
Underoath veröffentlichen im Herbst ihr neues Album, das an einigen Stellen Prog-Einflüsse mit „Nine-Inch-Nail-Feeling“ haben soll, wie die Band in einem MTV-Interview mitteilte. Im Grunde soll das neue Album aber ähnlich wie das letzte sein, dass das erste gewesen sei, dass man nicht gehasst hätte: „From [2002's] The Changing of Times to [2004's] They're Only Chasing Safety, we hated it. So we changed, and then, by the time Chasing came out, we hated that too. Then we wrote Define the Great Line, and I feel like this record's kind of similar to that. I was worried, at first, but I think we took it and stepped it up a lot. It's the same style — we didn't completely change who we are. But we had to push each other, raise the bar and experiment and explore things we haven't done before. This is our band, and this record — this is our sound.".
