"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer. Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan", so das Statement von Noel Gallagher, der mit diesen Worten seine Band Oasis verlassen hat. Was sich schon seit Jahren zwischen den Brüdern angedeutet hat, endet nun mit der wohl endgültigen Trennung der Band. Alle noch angekündigten Shows wurden ersatzlos gecancelt. Als Ersatz für den heute geplanten Auftritt bei Rock Am See wurden kurzfristig Deep Purple bekannt gegeben.

Die werden sich schon wieder zusammenraufen, spätestens wenn die Rechnungen für den Rolls Royce oder ihre Swimming- Pools kommen. Ist ja nicht das erste mal dass die Gallaghers Zoff haben.

Woah...das kommt dann doch überraschend. Hätte eher damit gerechnet, die nächsten Jahre von Oasis mal wg. Pause nichts mehr zu hören. Klar ist jetzt aber: Wenn die anderen mit Oasis weitermachen, wird's peinlich. Denn Noel schreibt nicht nur fast alle, sondern vor allem alle guten Oasis-Songs ;)
