Wie wir bereits berichteten, trennten sich The Black Dahlia Murder von ihrem Drummer Zach. Auch der Bassist hat die Band offenbar verlassen. Das Album The Rising Tied erscheint am 18. November.Die 36 Crazyfists haben die Pre-Production zu einem neuen Album begonnen. Über den Fortschritt der Arbeiten an dem Werk, welches von Sal Villaneuva (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday) produziert wird, kann man sich auf ihrer Website informieren.Auch Zao, die Twelve Tribes und Strata planen demnächst für neue Aufnahmen ins Studio zu gehen.Adam Boose ist ab sofort als neuer Bassist bei Brandtson an Board. Ein neuer Silberling darf hier im Frühling erwartet werden.Ein neuer, noch unbetitelter SOiL-Longplayer soll im Februar erscheinen. Bandstatement zur Trennung von Drummer und Bassist: "yup zach and dave are gone. both are gone cause they couldn't actually play our material. it was sad to have to make such a decision with dave since he's been with us for quite some time, we wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors. zach, however, was a much easier call to make. he simply didin't care that he played sub-par and we decided that we could definitely not let someone who doesn't even care about the band to continue. we're sorry to all of you who are bummed, but we promise a much better black dahlia murder to come."
Statement des (ex-)Drummers Zach: "Yes, the rumors are true, I AM NO LONGER THE DRUMMER FOR THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER........I was asked to leave the band after our last show on the BTBAM/CEPHALIC CARNAGE/INTO THE MOAT tour 10/28/05 in Detroit,Michigan,our home...I was quitting anyways and they knew it,they just wanted to save face and beat me to the punch.I'm gonna sound like a total asshole, but anyone that knows me knows that this is the truth and i'm very very far from being a dick head.....BDM is nothing without me,they were nothing until I joined.Had I not joined last year when I did, they never would've continued, and even if they did, half the shit they did with me in the band would've never happened,and Miasma wouldn't have turned out the way it did,they know all of this is true as well, because i've been told by them many a times.I want everyone to know that reads this that Brian from BDM is a total dickhead and doesn't care about anything accept making money,and on top of that, he is not half as good of a musician as you may think,he is one of the most un-talented musicians i've ever played with.He doesn't care about friendships,having fun(Basically really being in a band).....I also want everyone to know that I was shorted about $2500,very shitty on their part,also a decision made by Brian.They also gave Dave Lock(bass) the boot shortly after me.....Also a very shitty thing.....I know now who my real friends are and Dave was really the only one outta the band that I could really consider a friend.I've heard many a rumors that Trevor is leaving the band,I hope it's true.I wish nothing but the worst to Brian and his future endeavors.So, for anyone thinking of joining, don't do it unless you're a total fucking joke of a musician and a person that only cares about making money and nothing else, and not the most important things about being in a band(having fun,REAL friendships and being friends with the people in your band...etc).And for everyone that thinks or have said to me "man, being in bdm must be great....blah blah blah" it wasn't,I made barely any money and lived like a fucking bum for over a year.I'll be much happier in a band that goes no where making no money than a band that is very well known and not getting shit. I've had some of the best times in my life since I was in BDM, but for every great time there has been a totally shitty time that made me wanna quit my life because of Brian.I have nothing good to say about Brian, and many of you who read this probably think i'm just sore about being kicked out, but i'm really not,I just want everyone to know the truth so another kid doesn't go and make the mistake I made.Looking back at when Cory was asked to leave, I was good friends with him, and he fore-warned me about Brian and the rest of the bullshit that went on....I wish I would've listened to him.I think i'm pretty much done here,if anyone has any questions about anything, don't be shy to ask, I will hold nothing back."Nachricht von Anthony Raneri, Gitarrist von Bayside: "The worst day of my life is over. It lasted 72 hours, but it's over. I know now that everyday for the rest of my life will be a piece of cake to wake up to, I'm just glad that I get to wake up to them. On Halloween I lost my best friend, big brother, mentor and band mate. I find a lot of comfort in knowing that I had a best friend, big brother, mentor and band mate in the first place, when so many people will never know what it is like to have someone as magical as Beatz in their lives. I'm so lucky for that and so lucky that I survived this thing to tell everyone about him. Anyone that knew Beatz fell in love with him instantly. Whether you were his brother, his wife, his friend or you met him for five minutes. This letter, this week and the rest of my life is not going to be a mourning of a lost life, but a celebration of a wonderful one. He will live forever in all of our hearts and in the music he created so passionately. On behalf of Bayside, everyone in the Bayside/Victory camp and the Holohan clan, I thank you all so much for your support through all of this. I have to thank the members of Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein and Aiden, all of their crews, everyone at Victory, our manager Nate Albert and our families and friends for everything they have done since the second this happened, to get us past the last few days. Our guitar tech Nicky Raneri, tour manager Scott Robinson, guitar player Jack O'Shea and I are all home safe. Nick is going into surgery in a couple of hours and will make a full recovery; our drum tech Dan Marino is out of surgery and we hope to get him home by the end of the week. Every one of the fans, the press and any other company or person that has gotten in touch with us has just been amazing and it's all that support that got us through this. On November 16th, Jack and I will be flying out to St Petersburg, FL to join up with the Never Sleep Again Tour. We will be playing an acoustic set that night and every night through the end of the tour on December 11th. We loved this tour. Beatz loved this tour and this is something that we need to do for ourselves, for our band and for John Beatz, who would kick my ass if I didn't finish up what he gave his life for. After that, we will be taking the holidays off, as planned, and then getting back on the road again as a band in 2006. Aside from the next two weeks, we can not let this situation slow our band down or cancel one more show or tour. All any of us ever wanted to do was play music and make this band into something that people would know and love. That hasn't changed and we can't let it. Beatz wouldn't have it any other way. It will take me a long time to get the horrible images from that night out of my head and it will take some time for my friends Nick and Dan to get their asses out of bed, but I will, and they will and life will move on with only the happier memories of my best friend. ich find das "inspired by the death of former drummer derrick" bei der lagwagon ecard nen bisschen geschmacklos... das klingt als wär das gut, dass er tod wäre. und ich find das passt besonders nich zu der musik im hintergrund, weil das lied doch wohl recht fröhlich klingt.
